    Very good

The food on board was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The wildlife and bird watching experience during the trip was beyond words, with an abundance of beautiful birds to observe. Additionally, the location of the hotel, surrounded by breathtaking backwaters, provided a serene and tranquil atmosphere for a relaxing stay.

The sleeping accommodation on the boat was a bit small, but it had all the necessary amenities. Another downside was the lack of Wi-Fi, which would have been convenient for staying connected.

The location of the hotel was peaceful, with beautiful views of the backwaters and stunning sunsets. the room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom with hot and cold water. the staff were welcoming and efficient, attending to our needs promptly. the breakfast had a good selection of both western and Indian options.

The staff could have been more attentive in providing fresh water and coffee.

The crew on board was amazing and made our stay truly memorable. We loved floating on the boat and being able to relax while enjoying the beautiful landscape and local life along the waterways. The food served on board was absolutely delicious and there were options that suited our children's taste as well. Additionally, staying for 2 nights allowed us to fully experience the tranquility of being on the water and have a full day of exploration.

That the boat could have used a bit of redecoration and updating to make it more visually appealing. Additionally, the sound of the generator at night could be quite noisy, especially with the AC on.

The houseboats in the backwaters of Kerala provide a unique and comfortable experience. the cabins are well, kept and spotlessly clean, with en, suite bathrooms and hot water. the chef on board prepares delicious traditional Keralan food, and the staff is courteous and attentive. the rooms are spacious and the connected bathrooms are well, sized, with provided toiletries. Check, in and check, out are convenient, ensuring a hassle, free experience.

The shower and hot water on one of the older boats were reported to be poor and in need of updating.

the houseboat experience was incredible - spacious, clean, and with a great balcony area. The food was delicious, and the peaceful docking spot for the night offered stunning sunset views. The seamless transfer to our next hotel was an added bonus. Xandari exceeded my expectations in every way.

    Breakfast could have started earlier.

Amazing time on the houseboat. The staff were fantastic and the food was incredible. The boat had air-conditioning in each room with private bathrooms, adding a touch of luxury to the trip. Taking a canoe ride along the narrow channels was a highlight, offering a great view of life on the backwaters. A beautiful and relaxing cruise with delicious food.

Nothing to dislike. a wonderful experience with no negative aspects.

During our stay at Xandari, we had the privilege of experiencing a magical journey around the stunning Keralan backwaters. We were able to explore the tranquil surroundings and witness the local bird life up close. The staff onboard were exceptional, attending to our every need and even arranging mini boat trips for us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the backwaters. The food served onboard was amazing, and we were even provided with a recipe for one of the delicious accompaniments. Watching the sunset from the deck was unforgettable, and the peacefulness of our room allowed us to truly relax. I highly recommend this remarkable experience to anyone visiting Kerala.

The staff were absolutely amazing and made our stay mind-blowing! From the friendly and attentive chef, engineer, and captain on our beautiful and comfortable boat, to the incredible local dishes served for breakfast, lunch. We especially loved the option to sit on the upper deck and relax while watching the peaceful surroundings go by. The boat was very clean and well-maintained, and the staff were always ready to help. We were pleasantly surprised when our 2-bedroom boat turned out to have 3 bedrooms and even included an upstairs deck! The captain even went out of his way to stop at a local fish market for us, and the chef prepared mouthwatering nonveg delicacies. We couldn't have asked for a better 1-night stay – it was simply amazing! Much thanks to the offshore staff as well for arranging to bring our family members on board, despite the unforeseen circumstances.

We had a truly wonderful experience on the houseboat with a cozy upper deck and friendly staff. The boat had all the luxury amenities we needed while still maintaining its original charm. The peaceful atmosphere on the backwaters was a delight, and the AC provided a comfortable environment. We were also impressed that the boat docked at night where power was available, allowing the AC to run without the noise of a generator. It was a truly great and memorable experience that we would highly recommend.
